Happy Hanukkah! Light the menorah in the parking lot
Temple Sholom is excited to celebrate Hanukkah with the children in our religious school by lighting the menorah together in the upper parking lot. Our outdoor menorah lighting service will be festive and each child in the class will be entered into a Hanukkah gift raffle. One lucky winner will go home with a very special Hanukkah gift donated by our Board members! Families are encouraged to bring their own menorahs to light during the service.
Important: Masks and social distancing required.
How to attend: Religious school families will receive an invitation from a Temple Sholom Board member. Families will RSVP directly to the Board member that sends their invitation.
Here is the calendar for the menorah lighting by grade. Please note that due to the 25 person maximum mandate for outdoor gatherings, the 5th grade has been split in two:
- Thursday, December 10, 6:30 PM - 7th grade
- Friday, December 11, 5:00 & 5:15PM - 5th grade
- Saturday, December 12, 6:30 PM - 4th grade
- Sunday, December 13, 5:00 PM - K-2
- Monday, December 14, 6:30 PM - 8th grade
- Tuesday, December 15, 6:30 PM - 6th grade
- Wednesday, December 16, 6:30 PM - 3rd grade
- Thursday, December 17, 6:30 PM - 9-12th grades
