Social Action Committee
Social Action Committee
Social action means helping. We do this through Tzedakah (giving), G'milut Chasidim (directly helping), and Tikkun Olam (literally, repair of the world). Some of the programs we’ve sponsored or participated in include blood drives, housing the homeless, working with community agencies involved with the needy, making meat loaves for the hungry, working at a soup kitchen, coordinating Habitat4Humanity builds, and organizing and executing the Temple's annual Mitzvah Day.
