Temple Sholom Sisterhood is a group of wonderful, diverse women of all ages. We invite you to join us and participate in our monthly activities and learning experiences -- from Sangria Night to cooking for charity to our book club, where we have engaging discussions (sometimes even with the authors!). Being a part of Sisterhood is a terrific way to meet other women in the congregation. New Temple Sholom members enjoy their first year of Sisterhood for free, which includes our fabulous end-of-year luncheon. Be a part of the action, make new friends, and have fun with us!
- Yoga Night: Wednesday, May 30, 7:00 p.m. at the Temple. Join us as Temple Member and certified Yoga Instructor Carolyn Smaka leads a class for Sisterhood. Friends and relatives are welcome to attend.
- Annual Paid-Up Members Luncheon: Sunday, June 24, 12:00 p.m. at Ambeli Tavern in Westfield. All paid-up Sisterhood members -- and those enjoying a complimentary Sisterhood membership as part of their first year of Temple Sholom membership -- are invited to share a wonderful meal of Greek delicacies and fabulous conversation.
- Sisterhood Book Club: Wednesday, July 11, 7:30 p.m. at Linda Wolf's home. We'll be discussing Disobedience, by Naomi Alderman. This novel explores forbidden intimacy between two women in London's Orthodox Jewish community, and was recently made into a well-reviewed film starring Rachel Weisz and Rachel McAdams. In addition to discussing this absorbing book at the meeting, we'll also set a day/time to go to the movie as a group and see how it compares with the book.
