Gale Miller & June Stern, Co-Chairs
Temple Sholom Sisterhood is a group of wonderful, diverse women of all ages. We invite you to join us and participate in our monthly activities and learning experiences -- from Sangria Night to cooking for charity to our book club, where we have engaging discussions (sometimes even with the authors!). Being a part of Sisterhood is a terrific way to meet other women in the congregation. New Temple Sholom members enjoy their first year of Sisterhood for free, which includes our fabulous end-of-year luncheon. Be a part of the action, make new friends, and have fun with us!
- Sisterhood Book Club - Movie Night!: Thursday, August 23, 7:30 p.m. at Gale Miller's home. We'll be watching Disobedience, a film adaptation of the novel by Naomi Alderman that was discussed at our July book club meeting. This well-reviewed film stars Rachel Weisz and Rachel McAdams. Since we'll be comparing the film to the book, attendees should read the novel prior to seeing the movie. Beverages will be provided, but please bring a favorite dessert to share.
- Sisterhood Book Club: Thursday, September 26, 7:30 p.m. at Linda Wolf's home. We'll be discussing We Were the Lucky Ones, a novel by Georgia Hunter. This acclaimed book - which has earned an average of 4.6 out of 5 stars on Amazon - was inspired by the incredible true story of members of a Jewish family separated at the start of World War II who were determined to survive—and reunite.
