Dear Sholom Families.

We had a great last Family Track of Trimester 2 on Saturday, Feb. 3rd. Our theme was "Proverbs" and one of our tasks was to translate a Proverb into modern language. I thought it would be fun to share some examples:

The Lieberman's translated Proverb 13:20, "Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm" into, "Hang ou with smart people and become smart. If you spend time with idiots, you will get in trouble"

The Roberts family translated Proverb 3:9 - "Honor the lord with all your wealth , with the first fruits of your crops" into "Give back to our community and to charity with the things that are important to us"

The Wolff's translated Proverb 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another" into, "no person is an Island, we all learn from each other."

Thank you to all the families who participated for your amazing presence, ideas and role modeling - plus all the FABULOUS FOOD.

Registration is now open for Family Track Trimester 3. The Havadalah program dates are: April 14, April 21 and May 6th. Please contact me if you have not yet tried family track as this is your last opportunity for the 17-18 year!
